Hi, I’m Joe Aragona and I am honored to be the State Representative-Elect of the 60th District. The 60th District encompasses the northern part of Clinton Township and the majority of Macomb Township.
I grew up right here in Macomb County working at my family’s small business, Aragona Family Jewelers. I grew up right here in Macomb County working at my family’s small business, Aragona Family Jewelers. I’m a Kiwanian, Good fellow, board member of the Humane Society of Macomb, and am a member of the steering committee for the Young Professionals Board of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce. I bought my first home here in Macomb County back in 2015 because this is where my friends and family are and this is where I want to stay. I graduated from Lutheran High School North in 2006. After that, I earned my undergraduate degree at Oakland University in biomedical diagnostics and will receive my MBA this April from Michigan State.
All of my personal, professional, and public servant experiences have made me aware of the importance of good people to run and hold public office. I’ve witnessed firsthand how state government regulations directly affect small businesses. As a public official, I know the number one responsibility is to listen to the residents and, in turn, truly represent them. As a Trustee I listened to the residents and voted against pay raises for the Board. I also voted against fining lawn companies who operated against the Governor’s mandate.
I look forward to working with local, county, state, and federal officials in supporting families and small businesses throughout Macomb County.
